Nokia Experience Beta

nokia_experience.jpg

Straight out of the Scandanavian region comes Nokia’s latest Experience site which is a great companion site to Nokia’s high end NSeries and ESeries multimedia devices. On this site you’ll find a bevy of sweet mobile applications for your device. The application types run the gamut and include treasures from the following categories: Maps/GPS, Games, Videos/TV, Music, Photo, and Internet. So if you’re into GPS-based City Guides or Mobile TV or EA Sports created mobile games, you’ll find it here in this application hub. I’m definitely looking forward to a U.S. based version of this site to help load up my recently purchased N95, which by the way, is the best phone ever created on this planet.

T-Mobile launches HTC’s Wing running WM6

htcwing.jpg

[via FierceWireless]
Today, T-Mobile USA announced that it will launch HTC’s Wing, a smartphone running on Windows Mobile 6. The HTC Wing is the first smartphone to launch in the U.S. with Windows Mobile 6 pre-installed. Some of the advances of the new OS is that emails can now facilitate embeddable images and graphics, email can be synched with Windows Live Hotmail and a lost or stolen handset can be wiped out remotely from an Outlook account. Windows Mobile 6 also allows Wing users to search remotely stored email and corporate address books. Since T-Mobile USA does not yet have a 3G network up and running, the phone’s WiFi capability will be welcomed. The Wing phone sports a 40-key keyboard that slides underneath its 2.8 inch screen. The Wing draws comparisons to the T-Mobile MDA, but it’s much smaller. Up until now, only the T-Mobile Dash, also made by HTC, has had the option of downloading a Windows Mobile 6 upgrade, but the upgrade wipes the phone’s memory clean. Other HTC handsets have gone on sale in Europe with Windows Mobile 6 pre-installed.

Here’s the Press Release.

Dudley Perkins & Georgia Anne Muldrow “Beautiful Mindz” — June 12th 2007

Recognized for releasing the Pro X Fade advanced cross fader technology and promoting one of the largest club nights in the UK, the Eclectic Breaks label strikes once again forming an alliance with the independent hiphop distribution powerhouse, boutique label, & digital retailer; Amalgam Entertainment to unleash a new LP entirely produced by DJ 2tall featuring Dudley Perkins (aka Declaime) and Georgia Anne Muldrow on vocal duties. This is a unique UK/USA collaboration project that combines intelligent lyrics, free thinking, poetic verse and skilled studio productions, to result in an incredibly fresh, poignant and positive album.

The album’s title ‘Beautiful Mindz’ is a message to the listeners that we are capable of much more than we think, and the project itself reflects that it’s not difficult to put together a unique album of music with people from other parts of the planet. From their initial acquaintance to the albums completion, the whole experience was natural and organic as all great partnerships are.

Dudley Perkins is best known for his releases on US label Stones Throw Records, where he lends his unique voice to many of Madlib’s productions. Highlights from his releases include the single ‘Flowers’ and album ‘Expressions (2012 A.U.)’, plus the album ‘Illmindmuzik’ as Declaime on Good Vibe Recordings. Georgia Anne Muldrow is also associated with Stones Throw, and is their only female signing. Noticed early on by fellow LA hip hop trendsetters Sa Ra, as well as Detroit’s Platinum Pied Pipers, the buzz created saw her sound reach the airwaves of Worldwide with Gilles Peterson on the BBC, and to Peanut Butter Wolf, who signed her to a two-album deal on Stones Throw, where she recently released ‘Olesi: Fragments Of An Earth’. Originally known for his accolades in the DJ championship world, where he took home the title of UK DMC Team Champions in 2003 with his crew the Trusicians, 2tall has been making a name for himself as a producer over the past few years. ‘Beautiful Mindz’ is the first ever project from these three combined talents.

Ben Gordon’s Air Force 25

I just ripped this off of inside.nikebasketball.com. Thanks fellas! It was unfortunate to watch the Baby Bulls blow that 15+ point lead last night against the Pistons. I was really pulling for Ben Gordon and the Bulls to at least push the Pistons into a seven-game series. Now it’s just a matter of time before Detroit advances to the Eastern Conference finals.

Anyway, check out the home and away versions of Ben’s exclusive AF25 honoring his big breakout season. These are some hot kicks and big up to Ben Gordon who’s representing Money Earning Mount Vernon to the fullest.

The book explores work by some of the top award-winning agencies on the planet including DM9, Tribal DDB, OgilvyOne, LOWE Tesch, and 2020 London.
