Heineken’s Hologram Installation by Obscura.

“Over the course of Summer 2010, Heineken planned four different high-end parties in specific cities across the country, dubbed “Heineken Inspire”. Heineken partnered with Obscura to help make these series of events a memorable and unforgettable brand experience.

Obscura created a holographic touch screen installation that brought awareness to the history of the Heineken brand through interactivity. A touch screen terminal 72’’ tall, users could scroll through photos of old Heineken advertisements, bring up and watch videos of past commercials, and learn about the heritage of the beer man himself, Freddy Heineken. The installation toured with Heineken Inspire, visiting Miami, Chicago, New York City and Los Angeles over a period four months.”

A bit dorky, but hey it’s digital advertising. Coca-Cola enables people to perform a ‘Like’ action in the real world.

A new development steered by Publicis E-dologic enables people to perform a “Like”
action in the real world, and in turn is shown on the Facebook account of that user.

Excellent data viz of CO2 emissions, birth & death rates by country, simulated real-time.

[from the site.]

“The Breathing Earth simulation is a real-time simulation that displays the CO2 emissions of every country in the world, as well as their birth and death rates.  Keep in mind that this real time simulation is just a simulation. Although the CO2 emission, birth rate and death rate data used in Breathing Earth comes from reputable sources, data that measures things on such a massive scale can never be 100% accurate. Please note however that the CO2 emission levels shown here are much more likely to be too low than they are to be too high.”
